Help! M104 questions
After putting 32K on the $350 '93 300E I have had to put it on jack stands for the last month. Original problem was rough idle, now power, etc. Changed wrie harness, ovp, MAF, plugs, wires, coils, disconnected cat and still had problem. Got new ETA and it was not correct one, so I purchased a running 3.2 with good ETA from a '94 with 100K less miles than the 2.8. Started right up last night. The new problem, no accelerator response. The butterfly valve in ETA will not move while engine is running. I can open it while engine is running by pushing down on one side, the engine surges then dies. Any ideas? Thanks.

Good question. I had actually just thought of that possibility a couple of minutes ago. Have to check when I get home tonight.

OK, checked and indeed the ETA from the new engine was an ASR version. New issue, the car will not start at all now. I started the car yesterday morning before leaving for work. When I got home, it would not start at all. I changed the ETA and no start still. Engine cranks and sputters, but will not start. Any idea? I am going to build code reader hopefully tonight. Thanks

If indeed you have a 000 141 49 25 ETA and can't use it, I would be interested.
