sounds to me like a fuel issue,and possibly the o2 sensors,i would replace the fuel pump relay,and make sure the 02 sensors are up to date,my 89 300ce had a similiar issue,it turned out to be fuel pumps,02 sensor and the ovp,also a electrohydralic actuator for the fuel.maybe even the air fuel ratio needs to be adjusted.good luck
