2nd opinion on SLS troubleshooting W210 320 wagon

OK, I have the really hard bouncy ride that is indicative of accumulator failure. I also have a pronounced leak from the passenger side of the valve. I would like to find accumulators and see if there is an O-ring kit for this valve body and do both at the same time. Also, I remember there is some alternative fluid that is available for the system that is basically the same as the MB oem stuff but cheaper, any help there?

Opinions?

Thanks

Doug

there are 2 types of bouncy... HARSH bouncy as in like having solid struts... and SOFT boat-like bouncy as in no damping, just spring bounce.

if you have a leak you may just be low or bordering on empty, in which case you'll experience the boat-like bounce...

if it's HARSH, then there's no doubt that the accumulators are shot.

take note though that even with shot accumulators, if you have near empty fluid, you'll still experience that boat-like bounce

been there... both cases

ooops... re-read your post... didn't notice the HARD part... ok, you have shot accumulators.

Follow up, accumulators installed, ride back to normal. VERY easy swap. Thanks for the help here and on my other thread and of course the volumes of DIY and help through search.
