That could definitely play a factor in at least getting better mileage. I'm planning on another trip in a couple weeks (approx. 250 miles for all these trips, Philly to Hartford) I'll do my mileage out then. It'll be interesting to see how changing out the fuel pumps might affect it too...in the effort to not hijack this poor thread any more, I'll just start my own thread.
