Dead battery woes
So I have been searching for an answer as to my constant dead batteries.
Thus far I have done this: Had the battery checked Tested the alternator and voltage regulator Checked the fuse box to see if there is any current On fuse 9, with the engine off, I am still getting a draw of 9.something volts?? I am not sure where to go from here. I have pulled the stereo to see if anything was not connected/taped properly and it all seems alright. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Well...
Since you're CONFIDENT in all your preliminary testing...
And you say "ZomeZing" on fuse #9 IS DRAWING 9 VOLTS... (#9'S CONSUMERS LIST BELOW) I,Me be turning DMM (Even a Cheap one from HF or Roebuck[on sale] ) to Amps Scale. And starting with the Battery ,work Outbound till the culprit is located. "Doan fergit" the Alternator's Diodes. How often does Battery Voltage "Go Flat"? How often is chassis Driven? (Hint: you don't CARE how many VOLTS are being stolen,The Amps are the true test!) Oh,Yeah: http://www.ps2cho.net/downloads/MB%20CD/W124/Main.html (Section 24 is where your fun begins)

i had anissue with my stereo drawing constant pwer frm fuse 9,the stereo would not shut off or would turn on by itself,so i had to remove fuse 9 to reset radio and shut it off, these radios do really wierd things make sure you know for certain that the radio is not draining the battery,i had a dead battery a few times from just the display on the radio, you will need top do a draw test,to findout how many volts/amps are bei ng drained from battery, check the battery volts under a full load to make sure the alternator regulator is spiking up to 14 volts.that with all the power options on and running all lights radio windshield wiper ac blower fan, even rear defrost.you may need to upgrade to a 130 amp alt.
