Smile fuel accumulator

The fuel accumulator near the fuel filter is the most likely cause of hot start problems.
Most likely this will be the only fault and Easy replacement.

With all due respect Mac

There's a lot more than that - my hot start issues were nothing to do with that but I replaced it nonetheless.

Ignition's a good place to start. Plugs, leads, cap rotor. All these need to be in good condition and at your age and mileage may need renewal.

My advice is to start with the cheap stuff, although the accumulator is less than €100.

Good luck.

F.A

The fuel accumulator is common to all CIS models .
AS you mentioned perfect cold starts and running ; only difficult hot starts then the F.A replacement should rectify the problem without any more parts thrown in.
Ageing components like the Fuel pump Relay and the OVP relay will initially cause
intermittent faults ,both best replaced or re-soldered at some stage .
Do report results after replacement !

even though the eha is for cold starts it can have wierd issues with hot starts to,it controls lean and rich ositions with air fuel, you may want to have it checked, also check the fuel pump relay,i agree with the fuel accululator it looks like a large fuel regulator next to fuek filter.did you say you already replaced the temp sensor? also check the o2 sensor.

poor hot start

it is agood idea to connect a pressure gauge in the fuel line to see if your fuel pressure drops quickly when you switch off. I had exactly these symptoms, turned out to be the one way valve at the fuel pump, replaced it and all was well
