hi all,i need ur help on how to test blower motor regulator, i have 230 ce 1990,it has the 2 fan blower motor, the motor is working when i connect it directly to the battery,i checked the voltage on the bar fuse (30A) both sides are ok, i checked the voltage on the 3 pin connecter, its is ok.....now i think it is a faulty regulator...plz any help or ideas ....many thnks

Strip fuse on the drivers side strut mount replaced yet? its normally the first thing to go. Its in a tootsie roll sized black clip case. Cant just look at it must test across with a multi meter as they get hairline cracks not easily seen.

thnx macdrone
i have done that, the test result is.... the fuse is ok....the voltage on both sides are 12v +
i ground the blue and the motor was running ok....i test the 3 pin connector, the red is 12v +,the yellow is strange variable voltage,it is between 1.1v at low and 13v+ at high fan,is that ok as the voltage from yellow is 2v to 8v. is it the regulator or the ccu.many thnx |

The regulator is a big power transistor. The yellow wire is the control voltage for the base (gate) which controls the chopping of the current to the blower motor, hence changing its speed. Therefore, the voltage will change depending on the speed being called for by the N22 pushbutton unit.
