1984 280SE Euro radiator - what fits
I just picked up a 1984 280SE that has over 400K miles on the clock. It has served its previous owner for nearly 300K of those miles, until he hit a deer back in January and busted the headlight, condenser, radiator, and grill. I bought it cheap, and want to put it back together on the cheap to make an inexpensive daily driver for my 7 mile trip to the shop and back. None of my regular suppliers list this car because of it being a euro spec car. The radiator appears most like a 240D, no expansion tank but it does have an oil cooler (which is thankfully intact). I've got a good line on all the parts I need from one of our fellow members, except for the radiator. Does anyone here know if a 240D radiator will fit, or might know where an inexpensive radiator might be for this 126.022 chassis?

Is it anything like the radiator from a 500SE with the oil cooler? If so, I have a used one I do not need.

I'll take some good pictures and measurements this weekend and post them up. I have a feeling it might be close if it is set up for an oil cooler.

Okay keep me posted. The rad is old, but held coolant when I removed it. I once wanted to install this on my 560 but have since lost interest.
