My ball joints are a little wore out on my 95 E320 and need replacing. I have noticed a vibration while braking also (not really a true vibration, but almost like a "jerking"). How many miles are on your car? Mine is @ 140k with the originals on them. The bearings are pretty damn cheap and should probably be replaced anyway.
