1985 300 SL M103-982 timing chain replacement

Dear fellow enthusiasts - I am looking to replace the timing chain in a recently purchased 1985 euro spec 300 SL. Engine type is a 6 cylinder M103-982 model. I understand that most US SL models can exchange body parts, but the engines are all V-8. What model US MB has a similar engine that I can quote parts for mine?

Im also looking for brake pads and filters for maintenance work.

Thank you for your time in helping me out.

with few exceptions the engine is the same as a 300e and the brakes etc are the same as the v8 sls.
