'91 300CE (M104) - What is the "throttle valve switch"?
Is the throttle valve switch - in my M104 motor - referred to in the Landiss article:
"1) Idle Contact: Deflect the air flow sensor plate. The duty cycle should decrease to 10%. If it remains at 70% test the throttle valve switch (Job 07.3-121). " the same as the EHA valve? I can not find FSM Job 07.3-121 anywhere?? ryan

Look for a small microswitch near one of the throttle levers on top of the intake, has a small roller on the end and opens (or closes) when you take the engine off idle.

Ryan,
I have a '93 300CE. There was reference to a idle switch for my car. We looked high and low for it. Finally we found it in the throttle linkage above the brake pedal inside the car on the drivers side. It was hidden in a black bracket. It is a simple microswitch that actuates when the pedal is depressed. We replaced it with no improvement for my problem. Good luck. Anziani '93 300CE 190K '95E420 120K ![]() |
