Oxygen Sensor

I have 62,000 miles on a 1994 car.
Should the oxygen sensor be changed?
Is there any way to check if it is working fine or not?

O2 sensors are voltage generators. The test is to hook a voltmeter and take readings. The FSM contains the specs you'll be looking for.

Yep,

You can check it.. does your mileage seem low? I'd guess it's useful life is closer to 100k miles. But I think I did mine about 70-80k as it had seen lots of short commuting trips.

My mileage seems ok, averaging about 23mpg.
To be honest I don't know if this is good or bad for an E220C

1994 was on the line between 60k mile and 100k mile sensors. It looks like yours is a 60k mile so it would be time to replace it. In kilometers Bosch calls it good for 100,000, so you are right there. Page 84 here:

How can I tell which 02 sensor is there? The car was delivered in September 1994, but was special ordered earlier in 1994 (due to specific color, trim, extras combo)

The date doesn't matter - all the same, 320 for the direct fit and 506 for the universal. See page 27.

i have a 1989 300ce.my mechanic told me at 65,000 miles the o2 sensor needed to be replaced, even though it was not sending the check engine light on,the car now has 68,000 miles on it so im just about to replace it. i found a cheap bosch sensor on ebay for about $42.00.

Can you let us know if you notice any difference after replacing it?
I assume though the 02 sensor should be tested before replacing it?

What else may need replacing at 100,000km?
