Just bought 420sel 1986 with problem.

I just bought 420sel 1986 that has 139k miles. Car was not driven for 2 years. Seller told me that car will start fine but fuel distrubuter will leak. He also told me that leak is from from the rt. side hex head screw of the fuel distributer, standing in front of the engine. If I tighten that screw, engine will start for few seconds and then stalls. So, when I tried to start the car, same thing happened. When I loosen the rt. side hex head screw of the fuel distributer, Car starts but fuel leaks like spary but when I tighten the screw car stalls.

I had used good fuel distributor. Even after changing the old fuel distrubutor, problem remains the same. Low fuel light is on in Fuel gage and I can also hear some air bubbling sound from the fuel tank. When engine start it runs fine but at higher rpm. I will put 5-10 gallans of fresh gasoline then try to start the engine. will see what happen. In the mean time please let me know your suggestions and expertise on these issues.
