1989-420 No Reverse-Help
I have a friend that has a 1989-420 that has a reverse problem. All the forward gears work but not reverse. Sometimes it will go into reverse for a couple seconds. Any help will be appreciated... Jim

all the other 722.3 trannies wear out the reverse clutches before anything else why should this one be an exception.seriously though when it makes intermittent reverse connection is it solid or is trans slipping badly?

The reverse is shot and the more you attempt to use it, the more damage that will be done to the trans.
