Tear into it?

Just removed 722.3 from 84 500sel with 140000 mile.

Other than leaks it shifted great. Vehicle been sitting dead for a couple years.

Should I go ahead and disassemble to check it out or just do the outside seals?

I have all the tools.

God Bless
John

As long as it is out, replace all seals and clutches.

Thanks for all the replies, guess I might as well just rebuild it.

Does any know if the 722.3 from 87 560 sel is same as the 84 500 sel 722.3?

God Bless
John

David

Are the rebuild kits and torque convertor the same as I was thinking of rebuilding the 87 560 sel and putting it in the 85 500 sel. What makes the 87 a stronger unit?

Thanks so very much

John
