Question 94 E320 Won't Start in Park

Weird, this morning my car wouldn't start. As usual transmission was in Park. I tought the battery or the starter were gone. Checked the battery and got 12.6V, so I thought the starter was gone. However, to my surprise with the transmission in Neutral, it starts OK. I tried again on Park, and nothing. On Neutral starts fine.

Could anyone in the Forum explain me what is going on, and how to have it back starting in Park?

I really don't know. Two months ago I had the transmission removed to replace a leaking rear crankshaft seal (after 190,000 miles). After the repair, the car was starting normally in Park. Maybe something got loose there. I'll stop by the shop tomorrow.
Thank you!!
