85 380SE parking brake problem
I tried to replace the parking brake pads on the weekend and gave up after the fourth try to get the drum over the pads. The pads seem too big to fit inside, the star wheel adjuster is collapsed as small as it can be and there's no tension on the cable fulcrum. I had a small amount of surface rust inside the drum(which I sanded off) but the rotors were new a couple of months ago. Am I missing something obvious?

Were they OE or OE quality parking brake shoes?

Hi MBDoc, yes they are Textar(?) I bought from my Indy. There are some minor differences but side by side they're the same length and radius.
