Corrosion advise PLS!
Got the M117 on the stand and have this kind of corrosion in the pump. I will replace the pump, however is there any way to flush on the stand?
Car sat for a year or so. yes the "green " stuff! Replacing the radiator and don't want this stuff in it or the heater. Any suggestions. God Bless John Last edited by John1; 10-26-2010 at 03:00 PM. Reason: add |

There is no way to chemically remove the corrosion. It has to be removed using mechanical means, i.e., wire brushing or grit blasting.
Some of the white (or green) stuff is silicate deposit. I believe this can be chemically removed using a citric acid flush. The worst was the last photo. Was that a small piece that can be grit blasted? The first two look like they can be handled by scraping and wire brushing.
