1989 300se FD Door Window question
I have a 1989 300se with a busted window on the driver's front door. It's pretty rare to come across any glass up here that is on a used or wrecked car, but I have found an old '85 intact. Would anyone who peruses this fancy site know what year(s) of 80's had similar sized window glass?
Just asking, otherwise, it's off to the yard with a template and measuring tape...

Dave, I can't speak from direct experience with replacing front window glass, but I'd bet all the W126 years from '82 to '91 have the same front door/window dimensions. (back doors are longer on the SEL versions).

The front glass should be the same.

Yeah, I went and pulled one off the old '85, the glass is the perfect size, but the metal bracket pressed onto the bottom of the glass doesn't fit the '89 door assembly. Aargh. Anyone have a procedure for getting it off of the glass without shattering?
