Temp sensor shorted or high-pressure switch (A/C). Might re-post this on diesel discussion for the location of said sensor.

AC on mine

I just bought a new set of aux. cooling fans for my 96. Same problem with constant run cooked the orig fans. My AC control unit is also NG, when I unplugged the AC control, the fan problem stopped. Now I need a new AC control panel.

Great. The sensor is a fairly cheap part.
