Been gone from here for quite awhile. But I'm pondering another Benz. A quick question. I'm looking at a mid-2000's model E320 4-matic. Have "they" worked the issues out of this system? I recall some prob's with the late-90's 4-matics.

The later AWD system uses the traction system & a simple transfer case.

No hydraulics!

ONLY issue is changing the transfer case fluid. Needs to be done every 40K miles.
