M117 cold idle?
I feel very stupid asking this. But does my 5.6l in my 91 have a "cold idle"? I ask because ever since temps have dropped I notice that during a cold start, it idles around 800rpm. When warm, its the same.
And other that the same slight shudder when warm, the idle is exactly the same. (The shudder I feel is an intake manifold gasket, replacing soon). It responds fine to throttle and does not hint at wanting to stall. Every car I have had before will hold a higher idle when cold. Especially when its 1 degree out.

Idle rpm
I have a 560SL with the same M117 engine as your car. Cold idle rpm is about the same as hot. There may be a few rpm difference but it is barely noticeable on the tachometer. In my case, idle is about 650 rpm. Coldest temperature here so far this Winter has been 12 deg F.
