W124 260E no tension on Cold start Injector
Hello everyone,
since a few days my car is getting cold start difficulties I measured the tension on the connector of the cold start valve and no voltage at all. The car is the W124 260E from 1988, Would any body have any suggestion where to look for? In advance many thanks

The only time you can check for voltage is while you are operating the starter.

Cold start issues are usually not due to the cold start injector unless you live in the snow.

thank you for replies.
Any suggestion for a systematic search procedure? Wiring schematic. I have no clue on where to start from. And now it is freezing here in Europe, minus 5 centigrades with snow Checked the temp sensors seems oK once started Idle is fine (even at vey low RPS below 500), the point is to where to start to solve the problem (presently I inject manually some fuel in the air filter housing). thanks

the cold start injector is activated for a short period during a cold start ,so check its voltage while someone starts the car.
A low idle RPM with a starting problem point to a fault in the OVP : over-voltage regulator , this powers the cold start injector and the idleing speed along with other circuits a common fault with the OVP is the fuse or solder joints going bad. Best replaced due to its age fatigue. mak
