Kay... Screwy... Gauges work fine... I think the battery is so dead that it's causing electrical anomalies. I took the batt out to put a charge into it and checked the OVP (which IS behind the battery as usual)

OVP

You're wrong (well, you said to!).

I replaced the OVP relays in both of my '94s and in my '95. They're as un-reliable in those cars as in the earlier ones (worse really, they failed in all of those by around 125,000 miles).

Babymog,

I did, and thanks for the enlightenment. I have read other people's posts on this website that say the OVPs ended in '93. not everyone is right. And as far as them being unreliable, I guess Stuttgart did make a few good ones because I am still running my original OVP at 213,000 miles and counting!

Happy new year

Ok, I should be getting it back in the next couple days. One thing that needs fixing is the fuel Sender is not sending a fuel level or there's something broken between the gauge and the sender, the gas needle is dead, but the Reserve light lights up when you go to turn the car on

the wagon looks pretty nice,

hope you get it up an running soon. my fuel gauge doesnt always work either.

check out the following diy : http://www.peachparts.com/Wikka/W124FuelSender

ps

when i fill up my car with a full tank of gas , the fuel gauge will work normally, however as soon as gasoline levels drop below 1/2 tank, the fuel gauge begins to go crazy. however, the good thing is that even though the fuel gauge is difficult to read when below 1/2 tank, the fuel reserve lamp will still turn on , i believe that this is because they are 2 different circuits.

good luck

Riddle me this. Whilist Swearing at my car trying to replace the Throttle Actuator, I noted my OVP has only one Fuse in it... there's a slot for another fuse. It should have 2 correct? would anything be affected by running just one fuse in there?
