I'm looking for the seal between the windshield washer pump and reservoir. Any suggestions?

Found that any rubber o-ring that fits over the pump stem works fine.

cottagstan, buy a new grommet from your local MB dealer, or online.

Amazing how important that little rubber grommet is, too. I lost the use of the washer and assumed it was because of a bad pump. No, all it needed was to replace the 15 year old grommet to get a proper seal again. All has been good since, after spending 50 cents or so. Even for an '88 model car, it's a good bet your local dealer stocks those things.
