im not sure if your just looking for a chiltons or haynes,but i purchased he most amazing manual recomended from another user on here goes by the name mbzmn,its on amazon.com,its called how to understand,service,and modify bosch fuel injection and engine management,this by far has got to be the best manual ive ever purchased,its got diag testing and a full detailed explanation of how it operates and the most indepth knowledgable repair manual ive ever owned,id definatley look into it.its really indepth deals wth sensors in depth engine management inclding cis and pulse injection,every sensor invlolved is in there and an easy how to on diagnosing and fixing the issue,in my opionion its probubly the most informative repair manual out there,directly from bosch.it covers theory of operatin,troubleshooting,and serviceing common tools and equipment.high performance tunning,how to identify your bosh system. also imcluding lh motronics,motronic,jh-jetronic,l-jetronic,d-jetronic,ke-motronic,ke-jetronic-and k-jetronic.best of luck,itd cost about $50.00 for a brand new one and a like new used one.for around $15.00.

Bible is good but does not have everything thats a great book to start with

You may not be interested or already know it, but you can still get the factory paper back shop manuals for it. It takes about 3 of them to equal the cd, but they are very much more clear than the cd's are especially the pictures. Although, they are a bit pricey. It would probably amount to around 150 for them.

For the paper manuals you will need:

Chassis and body manual 1
Chassis and body manual 2
electrical troubleshooting manual
HVAC manual
engine manual

While it is nice to have the paper ones, I never look at them anymore. The only one I would buy if I didn't have the paper ones is the electrical manual because as Rebe mentioned, they are easier to read than some of the CD scanned electrical diagrams.

I believe that there are two versions of the electrical manual, the early one covers up to IIRC 1993.
