2006 E-350 wagon
It has the in-line 6 .
It has 62,000 mile and looks good. $22,000 Please make comments. Is this a good model and engine package and is the price out of line? God Bless John |

The engine is not an straight six, its a V6 configuration.
I'd say price is OK, maybe a bit high for 62K miles but for that price I'd expect it to be in great shape with full records. The V6 engines in the early E350s had issues with balance shafts, do a search for more details. The issues have been discussed here many times.

Pricing is local, but here in DFW that asking price would be high by about $1K. And as Tim says, that's full book, so the car needs to be very clean and well cared for - all services complete, good matching tires, etc.
I recently passed on a couple of 2006 wagons while shopping. I just couldn't rationalize spending in the $20s on a car that might need the balance shaft repair (about $5K) and also has SBC brakes. If you really want a wagon, it makes more sense to buy a 2008 model after the balance shaft problem was removed and after the SBC brakes were removed. |
