M117 Oil drain plug torque specs?
Changing oil on a 1991 560SEL, does anyone know the factory specs for torquing the oil drain plug? Thanks!

Don't recall at the moment, but it's relatively light under the assumption that a new copper crush washer is used.

I installed the new copper washer and torqued to 45nm. If anyone knows different, please post.

HuskyMan, the torque value Rocky Raccoon states seems too high to me.
The torque value for a M104 (6-cylinder) engine oil drain plug is 25 Nm or 18 ft/lbs. Not sure why the oil drain plug torque value for an 8-cylinder engine would be twice that.
