W124: Front Crank Sensor, Where does it connect??
1991 300E: Where does the front crank sensor (partno:002 153 13 28) plug in to the car? I unplugged it several weeks ago during an engine swap, and for the life of me cannot find where this plug goes:

On my '91 300E, the Front CPS is hard-wired to the diagnostic port on the left fender. No plug. Assuming we're talking about the same thing that is...
Maybe post a pic of the other end as well?

That would be the rear EZL sender. He's talking about the front TDC sender. It isn't a real good diagram but see the attachment - 5 is the TDC sender, 8 is the TDC sender bracket.

Yep, same one that I'm talking about. Mine doesn't have a plug, it's wired straight into the diagnostic port. Rear one goes into the EZL.

found it, yes there is a plug, and it plugs in underneath the diag unit, as this plug actually makes up three pins of the diag unit. You have to remove the diagnostic "fitting" (two 10mm nuts) and the plug slides in underneath. To the naked eye, it does look like it is made into the unit, but it is not. Not sure how I missed this.
The rear crank sensor does actually plug into the EZL. I found an 87 300e today and just followed the wire to the diag unit.
