Can somebody give me directions on removing and replacing the electronic ignition on a 1989 300SE? Somebody tried to steal it by pounding a screwdriver into the key part and now the key wont even go in....

Oh, you mean the tumbler inside the car?

There is a tool to disengage the tabs that hold the black collar in place, then it should just spin free.
