'93 190E, Neutral drop from park, dies!

Stopped at a light fidgeting with my also failing power seat switch, looked up to a green and gassed it in the act of dropping from Park to Drive. I was a second off and it just died, hitting accelerator while in some component of Park. Pulled over, restarted eventually, and limped to parking lot where it now sits. Now won't hold an idle in gear, starting with difficulty.

Anyone ever do this before and know what to look for? Popped vacuum hose somewhere? Neutral safety switch? Tumbler is now difficult to engage and turn though this has been intermittent after sitting for a while. Steering wheel resistance in park also seems lower but could be my imagination.

OVP and O2 sensor were replaced last year. Debating whether to try some parking lot repair or just get towed. Any guesses would be appreciated!

TIA!
