400E replacement radiator, did I screw up?

Hey there, just bought a replacement radiator for my 1992 400E which I am going to be selling soon. Wanted to go as cheap as possible, and bought a BEHR replacement radiator from *********************** . It appears that this radiator is 533 x 488 mm where as there is also a 612 x 488 size. This one says its a direct fit OEM replacement... I am confused..... The part I bought is below, is it going to work?

slowbenzo, the new radiator needs to match the size of the old radiator. It's that simple.

That makes sense. but I was trying to understand why there is two different sizes both claiming to be direct fit OEM. Obviously an identical sized radiator will fit, but it would be informative if someone possibly had an idea of which cars were using which radiator. and will different OEM Behr radiators replace each other if they're both for the 400E?

Whenever you search one of these gigantic all parts for all cars websites, you'll find lots of bad information.

Got to be careful out there.

Or, use a knowledgeable parts guy. Maybe like someone who supports this forum....

Gotcha! Sorry did not realize I was in violation of your forum rules. I respect the knowledge that I get when I browse and read peachparts. A great community. Peach parts does not carry the part that I purchased in this case. Was just trying to show what I got.. but I understand. Again my apologies.

I was able to find radiators for your car - you may want to compare part numbers with the one you got to the one listed here on the site. If I were you I'd return the odd-sized radiator and get the correct one from here, you should be able to contact Phil and verify the dimensions before ordering.
