Showing my newbie ignorance. Will 126 dash fit in 124? Own 89 300e (no wood on dash), and a 126 dash (with wood) is available on ebay. Should have gotten a 90 or 91.

I would rather hang around for a later model W124 to surface. The 93's around here have the wooden strip across the whole dash - probably what you're looking for.

It now would be a straight swop. All ancilleries / plumbing / mounting points, etc. will be the same ...

You should be able to find this item at a breakers yard for a lot less trouble (and maybe even less $$$) than on E-bay ...

come to think of it, you will probably want to change the door trim now as well to fit in with the wooden inlays on the dash ......
