ignition point

did bosch ever make an ignition point with a hollow contact? It came with my purchase of a 1972 280se i6, sitting in the glove box as if it's a spare. Please chime in before going through the effort of testing it!

Thanks!

Hollow or the vented contact breaker points are supposed to last longer ,have been quite satisfied with the Pertronics Electronics ignition set which replaced the points
