S320 brake problems
One my 95 S320, I've been having a feeling of weak braking. It seems that at times, the car brakes normally, and at other times, I have to push the pedal to the floor to get the car to stop, even from low speeds. If I drive the car within the first 5 minutes of startup, it for sure exhibits these symptoms. However, it doesn't have the feeling where when I'm holding the brake pedal that the pedal is sinking... (however it might be bottomed out and I don't know it.) Brake fluid level seems normal considering pad wear.
What are some things I should check?? And the procedures?? Would it be likely that it's a vacuum problem?? I read in the WIS that it coudl very well be a vacuum check valve, and when I called the dealer, they said that part was no longer available... Or the VCV with the hose attached...

I would start with a brake fluid flush & see what happens.

Well, I"m going to be replacing the pads and rotors soon, and will probably do the hoses while I'm in there, so, that should count as a brake fluid flush.

Amos, if you ever get tired of your S320, I will trade you my 1995 Lincoln for it.
Glad to hear you got your brake issue figured out! |
