Can the dogleg first gear feature of the 190E 2.3-16 be adopted by a 190E 2.3? Is the dogleg mechanism in the linkage or inside the transmission as well?

I've been told it's just a matter of swapping the shifters, for non-dog to dogleg. But I have not verified it personally.

I'd guess there's got to be internals affected and wouldn't just be the linkage.

It is the trans, not the linkage.
