95 E420 A/C Problem, Nice cold air but....
Hello people,
Okay I have a 95 Mercedes E420, I Did not have A/C, I replaced the blower resistor and voila the fan works now. Compressor works fine, I recharged the system and Center Vents are cold, But here is the problem, The side Vents blow hot air. Things I checked were the Mono-valve, I actually blocked it so it will always stay closed , meaning no hot coolant can go thru. Climate Control unit was checked and it is fine. Now it is a problem, I feel like I am 80% done fixing A/C issues on my car. I don't need heater, that is why I blocked the mono valve. All I want it to do is blow cold Air for now, as my budget is quite limited. Any suggestions as to where I should start looking. All help is appreciated. Thank You. Also one funny thing happend, When I was installing the mono valve, after I blocked it, I started the car and the air was working perfect, all vents were cold, but as soon as I stepped on the gas , here came the warm air thru the sides again. To be honest I am Clueless on this one. Thanks Again. |

Vacuum Pods
Control "What Temp Air goes Where"
Advanced Search for Vacuum Pods Yielded: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/search.php?searchid=5872167 (A lot of that is not pertinent, you'll have to play with it to Narrow the Search) I'm confident, once you've a Vacuum Diagram for your Chassis... And the FSM [Factory Service Manual] on CD you'll be able to "Configure" your HVAC air delivery system to your Comfort. (Hint: You're driving a "Gasser",When you "Stepped on the Gas"... you Increased the Vacuum delivered from the Intake to the "Users" (I.E. "Pods",Brakes,Etc.)
