Ordered a new key from Mercedes-Benz of Anaheim. They said that 9 keys had be purchased for this car and ordered key #2. They were supposed to send the key to my indy a week ago, but didn't. Yesterday they demanded that we have the car towed to the stealership, but finally agreed today to send out their mobile roadside van, with a full star system, to get the car up and running, for a fee.
The key didn't work and the tech told my indy that the car would have to be towed to the stealership to be programed as he couldn't do it with the equipment that he had. I was under the impression that their vans were equiped with a full Star system and that they could at least tell us what the problem is, but the tech says no. MBNA says that their vans have/has the full Star system. My questions are: 1. Should they have ordered key #2 or key #10, or does it make a difference? 2. Are they lying to me about not being able to diagnois the problem, if they have the full Star system in their van? 3. Any other suggestions to resolve this issue. Thank you in advance for any help!
