Passenger door is acting up. clk 320

The door won't stay in the open position, and the window goes half way down and then tilts. Any suggestions?

It sounds like the door check may have failed and caused damage to the front window guide rail. Remove the door panel and have a look to be sure.

Hopefully, the broken door check is interfering with the window, but if you discover the window guide rail is bent you may be able to simply grab hold of it and straighten it out. It doesn't have to be perfect to work properly. Let us know what you find.

Dudes, I think I might be able to do this. I removed the speaker and found the bend in the rail I tried putting a center punch and tapping the other end with a hammer but I can't get enough leverage. I'm to try a small pair of vise grips and see how that goes. any other suggestions welcomed.

If I could just find a way to untwist the window rail I think I could get the window to work.
