original owner '83 123 "250" african model. what's it worth?

a good friend of mine has a 1983 250 model that he purchased new in africa. we were talking today and he is entertaining the idea of a period sl mercedes-benz and parting ways with the 250. about a year ago i had it for a couple weeks refreshing some suspension components and this is what i can remember of her:

~white exterior with some minor cosmetic rust, unsure of any structural. a few panels vary in paint quality, but overall it is very presentable
~european bumpers with correct one piece headlights
~blue tex interior shows very well with the exception of a commonly cracked blue dash, has a blue carpet dash cover. original beker radio/cassette
~functioning air conditioning
~little over 100,000 miles
~carbureted 6 cylinder (2.5L?) with a 4 speed manual transmission
~some sort of off road "african" protection package that includes a factory skid plate. the suspension appears to be standard w123
~everything functions as mercedes-benz intended. starts easy, no smoke or valve train sound. power is smooth and linear, shifts correctly void of grinding, brakes reasonably well and less dramatic than the 300s i've owned.

the car is currently in storage, the sort of facility that starts and drives the vehicle to prevent idle deterioration, so i can't offer any detailed pictures until the end of winter. i'm a diesel enthusiast, so i don't know a whole lot about the gasser variant, let alone a grey market example. it's definitely a rare and cool 123 in great shape, i'd love to have it for myself but i need to downsize my fleet. if anyone could give me an approximate idea of the value i'd appreciate it.

It is worth what anyone would pay for a 25-30 Year old car!

Maybe $1200-1800 Running!
