70 amp alternator upgrade to high amp

hi,ive seen threads in the past on here,im looking to replace my crappy 70 amp alt on my 89 300ce with the s class version high amp,does anyone know the thread or what model alt i will need,im looking for a direct bolt up,im sure i will have to modify factory harness this 70 amp is a real embarrasment.thanks

I believe the common upgrade is from a W140 such as a 400SE/S420 but I suppose a unit from a 400E/E420 will work as well.
