Headlight bulb replacement

On my 2003 E320 4Matic wagon (same as 2002),is it necessary to remove the windshield washer tank in order to replace/change the bulbs on the driver's side?? I assume that's done from behind, under the hood, not from the front. Thanks for any help....the
fragile bulbs on this model are something else!

It's a tight and awkward fit but I've always been able to do it by sliding my left arm between the engine and radiator fan, then under the radiator hose and then between the washer tank and headlamp assembly to get to the bulb. Never had to remove the tank to change a bulb

Wink

My knuckles just won't make it through there...think I'll have to move the washer tank,to be on the safe side.
