battery
04 Mercedes Benz E320 4Matic
The end of Sept. the car"s battery was replaced. The beginning of October we had the same problem as before: No crank, no start, able to jump with same error messages as last time. The battery protection was not enabled, analog clock spins around, and and an headlamp object error. Mechanic found no draws on battery although, he did replace with another new battery. November same problem. Took the car to the M.B. dealer. They believed the draw was from the seat controllers and replaced them. Beginning of Dec. Problem still occuring - going out to start the car and the battery is dead. This time the tech charged the battery and the car sat for four days with no draining of system. Garage unable to diagnose problem. Mid-Dec. We have had the car back for five days. We're parking outside thinking possibly the smart key might be starting something electronic in the car. Our room sits above the garage. This a.m., I went out to start the car and got the error message that the Battery convenience options were not enabled. The car started, I ran errands, came home, the car sat, went out to start it and the error message was no longer there. Please help. Besides costing an arm and a long, we no longer have a car we can trust to start. Thanks |
