Oil pan gasket
I am getting ready to fix a leaking oil pan on my 190 2.3.
What is the best way to hold and seal the new gasket??? Thanks

use this-
Permatex: Aviation Form-A-Gasket No. 3 Sealant - (Part#: 80019) ~ All Battery Sales and Service glue the gasket to the pan. i'm not suggesting buy it from these people, i just found a good picture online. good luck, chuck. |

Anything you glue on
you will have to scrape off later, probably after the glue (cement) has dried to a concrete-like substance.
I recommend simply coating the gasket with grease to hold it in place and seal any minor imperfections. |
