The emissions sticker doesn't actually say it's an 89 model. A "J" in the 10th digit of the VIN is an 88 model.
True but the sticker says the engine displacement is 4196 cc which is what a 420SEL engine is and that it confirms to regulations applicable to 1989. Strange.
