Is this new leak a big deal?
There is a component on the top of my injection pump on the side towards the firewall. It sticks up above the pump and is square in shape. It has either a hose or a wire running into it. This component is leaking oil onto the injection pump. I am familiar with old Mercedes, so I am tempted to just not worry about this one. But I thought I better check and make sure I'm not tempting fate.
Is this leak a problem? What is the component that is leaking? And is it something I could fix myself. BTW, this leak is on my 1991 300D. Thanks.
