Car cuts off when I use my climate control???
What could possibly be causing my 98 c230 to cut off when I press any of my climate controls? Dont know where to start....

mbdoc you hit the nail on the head!!! I disconnected the plug from the dryer,started the car, turned on the defrost, and the car kept running. I was thinking low voltage from the alt. WRONG. My machanic wants 1200$ to get the air cold again. I would rather fly you and a loved one to Charlotte (I work for USAIR) this weekend, and buy Ya"ll two tickets to the race at the speedway in exchange for a new compressor and cold air!!! sound good????(hotel included)(race may be next weekend,not sure) Im dead serious!!! thank-you
