350SL AUX. FAN

My '72 350SL a/c fan runs all the time. I unplugged it at the fan. Would the problem be the aux. fan relay?

I think there is a temperature switch that causes the fan to run only when the coolant temperature is above 100C. Might want to check it out or the wiring to it may be grounding.
