Clutch fan bearing bracket

Does anyone on the forum know where I can get one for a 1990 300SEL? Peachparts does not list them. Also, what is the difference between the 1990 and previous years? Seems '90 and '91 are a breed of their own.
Thanks - ken

I do, but am barred by forum rules from telling you.

Many of the online suppliers have them, the change came in 89 to the M103. Exactly what the difference is I don't know, but I wouldn't tempt fate by ordering the wrong one.

If you look up your part number in the EPC you could email the fastlane folks and inquire, or you could search it on popular online sites. Beware the URO brand, however.

Good luck.

Thumbs up

The change had to do with that AIR injection pump and what not.

If you have an easier time finding the '89 and older unit (which you should), just buy it... use the '89 and older alt bracket, use the '89 and older fan belt. Problem solved. I did this when my AIR pump seized.

Also I installed a pre EGR exhaust manifold and plugged the port on the head for the AIR with a freeze plug. Passed the sniffer vastly a few months back.
