Outside Temp. Sensor???

Can some one tell me where this sensor gets connected? I noticed it was just hanging this morning. A picture would be great.

I'm guessing to one of the slats in the lower part of the bumper.

That's what I thought. But there is no evidence of a place to screw it.

Look careful at that detachable lower left bumper grill, it slides in the grill

I'm having issues with it too. The sad part is that it doesn't have a connector, you need to cut the cable and attach the new one.
(unless you want to uncover the wiring harness and trace it)

on my 190E the temp sensor is attached to the license plate bracket. Not sure about my 124.. I think the 126's are in the same spot.

Well it's time to put it up onto the ramps and do a serious inspection.
BTW: I did find the clip.

If you notice the clip,it needs a hole in order for the screw to go through. There is no hole in the grill.

like JamesDean said, it attaches behind the front license plate frame (for the W126 too). i removed my front plate frame (for looks) and used a ziptie and attached it to one of the front bumper slats

That's exactly where it goes. I never would have figured it out.
